    Thanksgiving Traditions

Do any of you have any Thanksgiving Traditions? We don't really have any, but maybe when Aaron and I start our own family. Curious to know if any of you have them!

  4. I have had family traditions for some time now with the exception of this year. I have the dinner at my house which consists of aout 20 people. Under neath each place setting is a chore that everyone gets along with a lottery ticket Some of the chores are washing dishes, drying dishes, making coffee, setting up dessert, and relaxing which I have under mine. It is a lot fun to see everyone try and get out of their chore or switch with one another

Oh that is super cute! I like the off setting of the chore with the lotto ticket! What a great idea! I am going to keep that in mind!

  6. Yeah we have a lot of fun with it I make sure that I always get the relax chore since I do all the cooking!

  7. other than the wishbone... no. we have something different sometimes, i've eaten with family, friends, etc, food changes every year... so no. not so much.

  8. When I was younger the women would always cook while the guys drank beer lol then we would eat and watch football, it hasn't changed much except now I drink a beer while I cook and the kids play and then we all watch football and eat lots of turkey mmm....

This year will be different though hubby is gone and I will be in the middle of my drive to NY

No, not traditions really. I fews ago we tried making Thanksgiivng our Germany reunion, but that was so much easier when most of our friends from Germany were stationed around th east coast. They are all know on the west coast.

Thanksgiving was never big in my family. My grandfather passed away the day before when i was 6, so for years the family would still thanksgiving for us kids but as we got older nobody ever wanted to get together anymore.
