Following up from my post about taking my nephews senior pictures.

I do have PASM option on my camera. I know this means that you can manually adjust certain things but don't know anything about which option does what.

Would manually adjusting one of these options make me able to take a photo with a blurred background like I mentioned in my previous post?

(like this-- http://www.idmphotos.com/SeniorPortrait_South.jpg

I have a family friend on FB. She just announced that she is pregnant with her 2nd. Usually I would be happy for anyone but I just cant. This woman who is in her mid 30's is a f*ckin drug head!! I know she smokes pot all the time and I wouldnt be surprised if she does other kinds. She is just that kind of person. Just to top it off, she is complaining about morning sickness. I would kill to be pregnant and have any real symptoms. Yet, here I am...pretty healthy, DRUG FREE and in my 20's and cant keep a pregnancy for nothing. Ughh. Maybe I should start living my life wrong and maybe I will get pregnant then. I just dont understand why the worlds works like the way it does sometimes. :angry

So....Found out last week that my best friend is pregnant. She has wanted a baby for SOOOO long and I want to do something REALLY special for her. So I have a few questions for you to answer....

~What was the best item you got as an expecting mommy?
~ What is something that you would have wanted for YOU. IE: massage, shaw, pedicure???
~What advice would you give to an expecting mommy? (I wanna do alittle book for her...kinda like a funny what to expect sort of thing.)
~What things do you wish you wouldn't have worried about as a new mommy? Or things you wish you would have worried about more??
~Any other useful information...

Thank you all!!! I have some ideas for her but it would be nice to get MULTIPLE opinions. I know I can count on you!!!

I'm so hurt, I can't even cry.

My "friends" have been talking behind my back. They're currently mad because Chris had to get onto Erica because she called in AGAIN today. She works 4 hours a week. Seriously. He had to go in a cover her shift and told her if she couldn't make it for 4 hours a week, then she needed to put in her 2 weeks.
Anyway, she deleted me from Facebook and then tried to add me back. I am ignoring the request - neither accepting or denying it.
She has deleted and blocked Chris.
And went on to say tell her cousin on FB (who is still on my list) that she's steering clear of us both until things cool down - which "shouldn't be hard since I'm stuck too far up my kids' asses to do anything else."

I am 100% done. But I am also hurt. How dare she!?! Having a family is my #1 priority! And if she can't understand that, then we don't need to be friends anyway. Fuck her and fucking lazing ass. She works 4 hours a week just to get the discount since she's drawing supplemental insurance. Hopefully, now that she's no longer employed by my husband (he cleared that with his manager) that might cost her everything. She doesnt have any responsibilities. Nothing. She still lives at home with her parents. She's 28.
It pisses me off that I Chris and I have to bust our asses off to work and actually PROVIDE for a family and she can just sit around and not even LOOK for another job and get paid for it. GRRRR.
I was there for this girl when her boyfriend killed himself. I took time off work to be with her. I shopped for her family. I helped with the arrangements. And she gets pissed because my husband is mad that he had to go in and work an extra 4 hours on top of the 45 he already works a week (And not get paid extra for it since he's salaried) because she can't come in for a four hour fucking shift!??!

Ohhhhh, Im so mad. I want to post something on facebook, but she can't see it, and I'm trying really hard to be better than that.

If I ignore her she will think it's because of this whole work thing - and it's not. Her and her employment with my husband has nothing to do with me. I am not involved and never have been. I'm pissed that she said that I was stuck up my kids' asses.

Well, fuck off, you giant lazy ass tub of cunt butter! We are DONE!!!!

Thanks for letting me vent.

Yesterday marked 19 weeks for me! :cheerleader :crowdwave :banana :rahrahrah :yay :jump4joy I am very excited about this 19 week mark because it is halfway to "full term". For someone who never thought they would get pregnant... so exciting!

I have my anatomy ultrasound in about two weeks (Sept 15th) and I am sooo anxious. During my last appointment my doctor already told us that he is almost positive the baby is a.... (yeah, not gonna tell yet ), but the bean was moving so much he didn't want to say it was 100% so we are hoping to get confirmation this time around. We have names picked out for a boy and a girl now, and I am feeling more movement this last week.

I am happy. :yahoo

FSM help me. We have to see how fast TMO can schedule our movers. I really want to move the same time as DH because I have 2 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog, and a house full of plants I'm not interested in abandoning. And besides, there is not enough room in one sedan for all the mammalian passengers that would have to fit.

But it's amazing how the prospect of returning to the civilized world will motivate a person to get organized. So far, we've cleaned out all bedroom closets, purged the bookshelves and toys, and taken three trips to Goodwill to donate stuff. If the movers really are coming in two weeks, we won't be nearly as ready as we would if they weren't coming for two months but we're more ready than we were a week ago when we found out about these orders.

All I can say is BRING IT ON!

Seriously, how much more should one person be given to deal with. In one and a half years time I had a baby, my grandma who raised me for 10 years of my life ended up with cancer, then a stroke witch placed her into a nursing home , with a limited quality of life. My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, went through radiation and chemo was "in remission" and now it's back. 90% chance that surgery will not be an option and pallative chemo will be her only comfort option. She's basically F@#%&*^. :cry Thought I was coming to terms with the fact that DH has to leave for a year soon and now this. Not to be selfish, but I think I met my quota of shit to deal with. I am going to crack soon, if I haven't already!

However by the time bedtime comes, after eating all day, I look seriously 9 months pregnant! It's crazy. Even now, after eating lunch I am bigger than I was this morning. Does this last all throughout the pregnancy or has it even happened to anyone else?
